Yoga For Golfers!

We were excited this morning to pull up some really great yoga videos on youtube – especially for golfers!

Try this search yourself if you are looking to work on your flexibility and the range of your swing. It’s our opinion that yoga is generally a wonderful thing, be it straight from the yogi or just your garden-variety yoga-mat stretches….

Stretching before golf is highly recommended.

Here’s one we really enjoyed – it’s only 20 minutes, but you could take a lot longer and hold some of these poses to get a really good stretch!

As with all yoga and exercises in general: DO NOT OVERDO IT! We have both learned the hard way that stretching should be gentle and if you find yourself forcing it or *bouncing*, please just settle down.

Yoga for golfers is still yoga – although many purists feel that all of our mainstreaming of this discipline is wrong on so many levels, at Golfophile.com, we believe that any gentle stretching or strengthening exercises are great, not just for your golf game, but for your quality of life in general, so we’ll be sharing more of these golf yoga videos as we pick through and find our favourites!
